Nepal defeated Hong Kong by six runs

131020160247251-1000x0Oct 13, 2016- Nepal defeated Hong Kong by six runs in a must-win match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifying Series Asia Region on Thursday.

Nepal bundled out their opposition for 69 runs while chasing a 76 runs target for victory.

Karuna Bhandari took three wickes while Sita Rana Magar claimed two.

Earlier after winning the toss and batting first, a late 19 runs from Karuna Bhandari took Nepal to a 75 for eight total at Kowloon Cricket Club. Indu Verma scored 15, Jyoti Panday scored and Nary Thapa scored 10 runs for Nepal.

Opener Kary Chan scored 18 runs for Hong Kong.

Nepal had to win the match to keep their chances of playing World Cup global qualifying tournament alive.
